Our Team
At the heart of our Studio are:
Chief Divine Woman: Teresa Dane Marcel - Teresa earned the title of CDW by being the creative force and founder of Divine Women Creative Studio. (For more details on how this came about, click here). Handcrafting - particularly crocheting, sewing and making jewelry - is like breathing to her. She hosts our training videos, writes and designs many of our patterns. Teresa is also the only certified consultant and teacher in North America of the Colour Affects system of color psychology and harmony – the color system we use for all our DWCS products. She offers personal and business consultations, and presents workshops on color to worldwide audiences. You can reach her by e-mail at:

Office Goddess: Karen Yowell
Versatile to the core, Karen fully accesses her left brain as she keeps our website updated and manages our database and inventory systems. From the other side of the brain, she designs one-of-a-kind jewelry - look for some of her designs right here! Karen loves working with natural stones, pearls, crystals and sterling silver. She has been creating and selling jewelry through her own business, The Bead Gypsy, for five years. For more on Karen's artistic side, click here. And these are some of the people on our global team who contribute their expertise to the success of Divine Women Creative Studio:
IT Alchemist: Ron Braithwaite
Ron started in the computer industry in the late 70s, programming everything from the tiniest micro-controllers to massive multi-terabyte databases and, most recently, nutrition software for the iPhone. He is honored to be responsible for the care and feeding of technology for creative folks, like Divine Women. For almost 30 years, he has named every computer he has owned after goddesses (fortunately, there are lots of them to pick from). Along with all that left brain activity, he is also a fine arts and nature photographer and likes to hang out with crafty folk, hoping a little of their creativity will rub off on him.
Video Druid: Brendan Gill
The medium of motion picture has been a means of self-expression and success for Brendan for over a decade, uniting a lifelong passion for visual art with movement and music. His penchant for documentary and instructional formats developed naturally from a background as a classroom teacher and the joy of communicating the various languages and cultures of Asia and Central America through several of his productions. Brendan's unwavering polytheism is sure to prove favorable as he communes with Divine Women's devas.
