The Three Graces Letter
The Three Graces, attendants to Aphrodite, and therefore to all that is beauty and love in life, are the inspiration for our Three Graces Bling Brooches, available as kits or ready to gift. Or, if you prefer, you can download the pdf pattern to make these gorgeous costume brooches which incorporate bright Swarovski crystals. As you make them, you might enjoy some inspiration from the Three Graces themselves. Here is what we imagine they would say to you:
Dear Graceful Sister,
If you have ever known joy, if you have experienced the wonder of blossoming from within, if you marvel at simple beauty, then you know us, the Three Graces. As inseparable as loving sisters, we complete each other, and are most often called Joy, Flowering and Brilliance. We also go by Joy, Charm and Beauty, or Good Cheer, Mirth and Splendor. And since the Middle Ages, we are known to Christians as Love, Charity and Beauty. Call us what you will, we’re delighted!
Together with the Muses, we sing, dance and inspire artists and poets with the ability to create beautiful works of art - which, we feel, adds a certain sweetness to life and attractiveness to speech. We simply adore anything that brings grace, joy, and good humor to human beings!
Although we attend to the Goddess of Love, and are responsible for weaving Aphrodite’s garments, for bathing, perfuming and adorning her - and, by extension, you - we also like to hang around her husband, Hephaestus. He is unrivaled when it comes to creating things of beauty, including stunning accessories. This means that beautiful clothing, relaxing bubble baths, sensuous perfumes and beautiful jewelry - in essence, pampering and caring for your most feminine self - are all part of our expertise.
When you create with beauty in your mind and joy in your heart, the result will inevitably be something that blossoms from within you. So, if you need us, call us into your heart and mind - and then wear that which flowers from this endeavor - such as the brooches and hat band in this pattern - for all to see!
Yours in laughter and splendor,
The Three Graces
