We’ll be adding videos here as they are released in the newsletter. These are short versions of our videos showing you how to crochet, making jewelry, sew, etc (full versions available for purchase in our shop). Some feature a technique while others are the “Letters from Divine Women” – a retelling of the myth related to our product from the perspective of the Divine Woman herself.
Eurynome's story
She was the creatrix of all things in some traditions, and when she rose from Chaos she separated heavens from earth. This was good! So she began to dance and in so doing, created the North Wind, that cheeky, creative wind... her story is told in this video.
Three Sisters creative tip

Three Sisters Hats Story
In good times, in difficult times, and the in-between times, if we are lucky, you and I are blessed with the support and enduring loyalty of our sisterhood of women. Our Three Sisters story video is inspired by that very support that women lend to each other, as well as the ways in which we work cooperatively – which often requires us to be flexible in the roles we play, in the hats that we wear.
For our video, we blended the Iroquois story of the Three Sisters – beans, corn and squash – with the Cherokee story of the trail of tears and the result is what you see here. But it seems the story does not limit its reach to women: our ‘video druid’, Brendan Gill (Alphabet Films), was so inspired by the story that he created the original characters and this fabulous animation to illustrate it!
Eve's apple felting tip
If you’ve never tried it, you’ll be amazed at how quick and easy it is to learn how to needle felt!
While you are at it, here’s a thought, reiterated in the video: felting, whether needle-felting or fulling something you’ve made, is a process which visibly ‘cooks’, transforms, solidifies, and changes the texture and weight of fabric – much like the ‘fire’ within you subtly ‘cooks’, transforms, solidifies, and changes the texture of who you are.

It’s a felted tote bag, really. But this isn't just another tote bag. It is the tote that emerged when we here at Divine Women Creative Studio got to thinking about creativity and the ways that we come around to being creative. Some of us are simply curious, with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Like Eve.
